Might want to add this to the article. The new Titanfall game is Titanfall 3.

2025 headline: EA closes Respawn Entertainment.

Well now we know why Titanfall 2 was sent to die by releasing within a week of both BF1 and Co IW, so that EA could do a hostile takeover.

2020, gotta give EA enough time to release Titanfall 3 and for it to flop first.

Also, I can't quite believe they had nexon as their second choice, for reference, this is what nexon turned Counter-Strike into

How sweet. EA just got another studio it will bury in the backyard in 5 years. But hey, somebody got a big bag of money, so f it, right?

I'd give it at least 5 years for the EA interference to reach the point that it is studio killing. They don't do anything else well, so studio slaying shouldn't be the exception.

and Respawn will retain the same creative freedom and culture we’ve always had.
I can't imagine he was able to say this with a straight face. No one's going to buy that when you've placed yourself under EA.

I'll be surprised if people haven't begun to resign.

Now we know whyt Titanfall 2 was set up to fail. If TF2 was more successfull the acquisition cost would have been higher.
