I got about 8 hours into DC. But then haven't played it since my last windows format.

It was a little slow to start for my liking. I went to the village overrun by plants. That just seemed to drag on for ages. Then went on to the place with the big crane.

Are the conversation perks even that important in wasteland? It seems pretty combat heavy.

They're handy to have, choose one type of speech perk and stick with it, as I found lvling more than one isn't worth the points.

I'm especially looking forward to the visuals, as inXile said that was a major complaint for W2, and they plan on improving it greatly.

They've even hired Bichoff brothers to work on visuals (Stasis, Cayne, Beautiful Desolation)

I dunno, CE quality ought to improve with Microsoft money behind it. I'm talking hardwood chest with stainless steel hinges and Egyptian papyrus map.
